Angela is a member of Munsch Hardt’s Real Estate section, and she spearheads the firm’s Zoning and Land Use practice. Angela regularly advises her clients on a wide range of governmental issues, including complex zoning matters, economic development programs, tax increment financing grants, public-private partnerships, affordable housing tax credits, and intergovernmental relations.

Prior to her real estate practice, Angela served on the Dallas City Council for eight years, the maximum term allowed by law. Elected to the Dallas City Council at the age of 33, Angela Hunt is the youngest woman ever to have served as a Dallas councilmember.

Angela leads her clients through byzantine bureaucracies at the local, state, and federal levels. Her experience in governmental affairs allows her to cut through red tape and connect her clients with decision makers from North Texas to Austin to Washington, D.C. Many businesses qualify for economic development incentives offered by local government agencies, the State of Texas, and the federal government; however, understanding how to put these tools to work can be difficult. Angela identifies the programs that can be most beneficial for her clients and guides them through the application process.

After nearly a decade of legislating complex zoning cases at Dallas City Hall, Angela provides her clients with invaluable insight into the political feasibility of zoning proposals and advice on improving their likelihood of success. She also regularly outlines a strategy for approval, identifies potential pitfalls, and advocates for her clients at city hall.
