Megan’s practice focuses primarily on real estate and energy transactions, and throughout her career she has gained extensive experience counseling a broad range of clients in these areas. In particular, she represents owners, landlords, tenants, purchasers, sellers, borrowers and lenders in the financing, leasing, acquisition and disposition on a variety of commercial real estate projects, including industrial facilities, office towers, petrochemical facilities and shopping centers. She also represents landlords and tenants in the drafting, negotiating and enforcing commercial leases including office, industrial and build-to-suite leases. 

Additionally, Megan represents foreign investors regarding liquefied natural gas projects, including drafting and negotiating tolling agreements, gas procurement agreements and master power purchase and sale agreements. Megan also has experience representing clients regarding pipeline construction and development projects. She also counsels corporate clients, both buyers and sellers, engaged in a variety of industries on real property issues in connection with mergers, asset acquisitions and dispositions.

  • Represented and counseled a specialty pump rental company on its $905MM sale of its assets to an international equipment rental company including 46 leased industrial sites.

  • Represented a domestic producer of frac sand in its acquisition and financing of real property assets in Texas and Wisconsin.

  • Represented a global trading company in the $50MM acquisition and financing of ammonia storage and distribution facilities in Illinois.

  • Represented a privately held Houston-based company in the acquisition and financing of a $85MM corporate office tower.
