Phil is the Chief Executive Officer of Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr. Prior to becoming CEO, Phil served as Chief Operating Officer and Section Head of the Business Litigation practice group. As a litigator, Phil's practice involves large commercial/complex litigation cases including representing fiduciaries and creditors in litigation against former officers, directors and other professional advisors of failed companies as well as, litigating a wide variety of securities matters. Phil's recent representations include:

  • Co-Lead Counsel for the Plan Administrator for the failed Texas Rangers Baseball franchise, pursuing claims against the Rangers former owner.
  • Completion of a two week trial of a breach of fiduciary duty case on behalf of a CLO against its former manager.
  • Representation of a commercial real estate developer against a United Arab Emirates governmental entity.
  • Trial Counsel for the trustee of two large failed telecommunications companies.
  • Served as lead Trial Counsel on behalf of the litigation trustee of ETS Payphones, Inc. (a $400 million Ponzi scheme).
  • Lead Trial Counsel for a trustee of a failed ethanol company in Wisconsin.
  • Represented an SEC appointed Receiver in an oil and gas Ponzi scheme in Texas.
