Munsch Hardt Appoints New Co-Chairs of Diversity Committee and Women’s Initiative Group

Mar 7, 2024

(TEXAS) Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. (Munsch Hardt) announces the appointment of two new co-chairs for the Firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (“DEI”) efforts. Dallas Shareholder Dennis Siaw-Lattey has been named co-chair of the Firm’s Diversity Committee and Houston Shareholder Huma Ali has been named co-chair of the Firm’s Women’s Initiative Group.

Siaw-Lattey will lead Munsch Hardt’s Diversity Committee alongside Dallas Shareholder Michael Krywucki. Together they are tasked with updating and implementing a DEI Strategic Plan, which includes focusing on internal and external initiatives as well as expanding the recruitment and retention of diverse team members. Munsch Hardt is also in the process of seeking Mansfield Certification for 2023-2024, with this being the first year the Firm has applied for the certification. Siaw-Lattey succeeds Dallas Shareholder Nolan Knight, who diligently served as co-chair of the Diversity Committee for five years.

“Diversity and inclusion at Munsch Hardt means not only embracing, but also celebrating the various cultures that make up our Firm,” said Siaw-Lattey. “I look forward to working with Michael and our Diversity Committee, as well as our senior leadership team, as we aim to initiate a continuous dialog through one-on-one discussions, roundtable sessions and other presentations that enable us to increase personal awareness of those around us, as well as the opportunities and challenges different individuals face throughout their lives and in their careers.”

Ali will join Shareholder Deborah Perry in leading the Firm’s Women’s Initiative Group. Together, they will spearhead a number of programs to help women attorneys achieve the highest levels of professional success by focusing on providing support around career development, sponsorship and networking. Ali succeeds Jana Lambro as co-chair of the Women’s Initiative Group.

“It is an honor to join Deborah as a co-chair of the Firm’s Women’s Initiative Group,” said Ali. “Nearly one third of Munsch Hardt is comprised of female attorneys, many of whom are not only balancing work, community and family responsibilities, but aiming to succeed in all three areas. Together, Deborah and I are committed to driving meaningful change and creating an environment where women feel empowered to thrive professionally.”
