Earlier this month Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr announced it had bolstered its litigation section with the addition of Stephen J. Huschka as a shareholder.

Huschka made the move after nearly five years practicing at Kessler Collins in Dallas, where he was named a shareholder in 2022. In a news release, Huschka said it was “an honor” to join the firm.

“The opportunity to expand my practice, tackle interesting challenges and grow through an exceptional, middle-market platform are some of the reasons Munsch Hardt is a great place for me to continue building my practice,” Huschka said. “Munsch Hardt has earned a reputation as being a great place to work, and I look forward to contributing to the firm’s culture and learning from Munsch Hardt’s distinguished team.”

Munsch Hardt’s litigation section head, Ross Parker, issued a statement calling Huschka an “asset” to the firm.

“As the section continues to take on complex and sophisticated litigation matters, it needs established, well-respected litigation shareholders to help with the growing caseload,” Parker said. “Stephen’s depth of experience and strong reputation in complex commercial litigation will serve us well as our firm continues to strategically grow, and there’s no doubt he will be able to jump right in to support and cultivate our dynamic litigation section.”

In the courtroom, Huschka has represented companies, officers, directors, accountants and broker-dealers in a wide range of complex disputes. He primarily focuses on litigation in the areas of securities, intellectual property, breach of fiduciary duty and breach of contract. He’s guided clients through government investigations, trials and arbitrations.

Huschka earned a bachelor’s degree in English in 2012 and is a 2015 graduate of the Texas A&M University School of Law.

He served as a briefing attorney for Justice Mike Wilson of the Eleventh Court of Appeals for one year. Prior to Kessler Collins, Huschka also had stints working at Cantey Hanger and Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons.

Currently, Huschka is the vice president of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers.
