(DALLAS) Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. (Munsch Hardt) is excited to announce it has achieved DiversityLab’s Midsize Mansfield 2023–2024 Certification in recognition of the Firm’s commitment to implementing inclusive and equitable workplaces. This is the first year Munsch Hardt has applied for the certification and will now join more than 360 recognized law firms in earning this accomplishment.

“Joining the ranks of elite law firms that also earned the Mansfield Certification is a major milestone,” said Michael A. Krywucki, co-chair of the Firm’s Diversity Initiative committee. “We know that an inclusive environment makes us better attorneys and enriches our workplace, as well as our overall legal community. Completing this certification and implementing inclusive, transparent policies demonstrate our commitment to creating a level playing field for all within the Firm.”

Mansfield is a year-long structured certification process designed to ensure all qualified talent at participating law firms have a fair and equal opportunity to be considered for advancement into leadership roles. The focus is on “opening the door wider” and ensuring that opportunities for advancement are transparent and inclusive for everyone.

The criteria to achieve the certification include the following:

  • Contributing to monthly group knowledge-sharing meetings and attending expert-led legal workshops to ensure the lawful implementation of Mansfield’s principles.
  • Drafting and making advancement processes and leadership role descriptions transparent and accessible to all lawyers.
  • Broadening the pool of talent considered for dozens of leadership roles and activities, with at least 30% of the lawyers considered consisting of underrepresented lawyers across 75% of opportunities.
  • Engaging in individual firm check-ins at the six-month mark to support adoption of legal and effective processes.
  • Submitting certification data, transparent processes, and a signed affirmation from the managing partner at the end of each certification year.

Led by Michael A. Krywucki and Dennis Siaw-Lattey, Munsch Hardt’s Diversity Committee regularly meets and evaluates its Strategic Plan, which includes focusing on internal and external diversity initiatives as well as expanding the recruitment and retention of team members.
