Dallas-based law firm Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr PC has opened its [new] downtown Houston office.
The company signed a lease about a year ago at Pennzoil Place, located at 700 Milam St. Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr will take up 21,382 square feet of space.
The new space will house 32 employees, 17 of whom are lawyers.
The firm’s new Houston office in Pennzoil Place will continue focusing on core practice areas, including real estate, health care, business litigation, restructuring and creditor’s rights, bankruptcy and immigration.
“Our strategic move to Pennzoil Place signifies Munsch Hardt’s focus on growth and expansion. With the ability to now double our capacity in Houston, the firm is investing for the long term,” Phil Appenzeller Jr., CEO of Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, said in a statement.
Houston has been a hotbed for law firms looking to move or expand here. In 2013 alone, Houston attracted seven out-of-state law firms. The city’s booming energy sector, along with its real estate growth, has been an attractive factor to many of these firms.
