Munsch Hardt recently strengthened its Corporate & Securities and Mergers & Acquisitions practices with the addition of W. Phillip Whitcomb as a Shareholder in its Dallas office. Whitcomb brings to the firm more than 30 years of experience in advising and representing senior management of public and private companies on sophisticated corporate legal issues.

Whitcomb’s extensive background includes serving in a variety of legal and corporate development positions within HP Enterprise Services (formerly Electronic Data Systems Corporation) and Centex Homes, as well as Managing Director at JMP Securities. Most recently, he was a partner in a major Texas-based law firm.
When partnering with his clients, Whitcomb develops and executes strategic business plans through acquisitions and divestitures, public and private debt and equity financings, strategic alliance and joint venture arrangements, and complex service and outsourcing agreements. His practice focuses on the aviation, energy, information technology and real estate industries both within Texas and across the United States and abroad.
Whitcomb received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University and his doctorate from the Dedman School of Law at SMU.
