Munsch Hardt, a Texas-based, mid-sized commercial law firm, entered 2015 anticipating aggressive growth in Austin. The firm experienced significant growth in Houston last year and aims to achieve similar results for its Austin office.
As Austin’s economy continues to expand in key industrial sectors such as construction, real estate finance, health services, hospitality, information technology, manufacturing and transportation, Munsch Hardt will focus on assisting our clients in each of these sectors. To help execute this plan locally, the firm appointed David C. Mattka head of its Austin office, effective Jan. 1, 2015. Mattka joined the firm 28 years ago and has served in a number of leadership roles, including Business Litigation section head and member of the Management Committee.
“I am excited to be selected for this role.” said Mattka. “Austin is rich with commercial activity in the construction, real estate, technology and manufacturing sectors right now, and we look forward to helping these thriving businesses.”
Munsch Hardt is moving into the newly constructed Colorado Tower late this summer. Located at 303 Colorado Street, the firm’s additional square footage and uniquely designed communal layout will encourage collaboration among the office and offer space for strategic new hires.
“Munsch Hardt is focused on growing our team in the Austin community,” said Phil C. Appenzeller, Jr., chief executive officer of Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr. “David has the experience and leadership to help us in this endeavor. With his new role and the office move ahead, we are prepared for an exciting 2015 in Austin.”
