Munsch Hardt today announced recent election results for Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
Effective Jan. 1, 2014, Phil C. Appenzeller, Jr., a member of the Firm’s commercial litigation practice group who most recently served as Chief Operating Officer, will serve as Chief Executive Officer. E. Lee Morris, a member of the Firm’s restructuring, creditors’ rights and finance practice group and former member of the Management Committee, will also join the executive leadership team as Chief Operating Officer. With more than 40 years of combined legal experience, Appenzeller and Morris look to aggressively build upon the Firm’s long-standing commitment to clients in providing big law firm expertise with better efficiencies and value.

Appenzeller’s extensive experience and leadership, combined with his results-oriented approach, will play a pivotal role in the extension of the Firm’s success. His day-to-day responsibilities will include leading the development and implementation of the Firm’s overall strategic direction, as well as communicating and further developing the Firm’s commitment to providing senior-level expertise at a more competitive pricing model.
Similarly, Morris’ succession as Chief Operating Officer demonstrates the Firm’s commitment to client value and providing results that exceed expectations. As COO, Morris will continue to drive performance and efficiency in personnel, operational controls, administrative procedures and technology. He will also work with Appenzeller in the aggressive growth of the Firm.
