Overview

Deborah’s practice focuses on complex restructurings and liquidations, as well as complex commercial litigation. With 20 years of experience in the insolvency field, she represents a variety of parties including debtors, trustees, committees of unsecured creditors, landlords, lenders and insurers in a variety of different venues across the United States. She also has represented parties active in the energy, health care, retail and restaurant industries.

In the past, Deborah held a number of leadership positions within the Firm, including serving as the Shareholder Liaison to the Management Committee, the Co-Chair of the Recruiting Committee and the Chair of the Firm’s Summer Associate Program. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Firm’s Women’s Initiative Group.

  • Hospital Acquisition

    Represented Texas Health Resources in its $116.5 MM acquisition of Forest Park Medical Center located in Fort Worth, Texas, which was purchased through an auction

    Represented The Nolan Group as a claimant in an international arbitration featuring a nine-member arbitration panel. A majority of the panel awarded 70 MM to the claimants

    Served as Chapter 11 debtor’s counsel for Paul Reinhart, Inc., the fourth largest cotton merchant in the U.S. at the time, and the largest seller of organic cotton worldwide
