As the Chief Information Officer, Mike Furr’s primary duties are to oversee and develop all technology-related strategic and operational initiatives at Munsch Hardt. Specifically, he ensures the Firm’s information systems effectively support the delivery of exceptional service to the Firm’s clients, as well as the daily operations and strategic direction of the Firm's technology. He dedicates a significant portion of his time to monitoring and continually evaluating risk and security measures in order to prevent threats to systems and confidential data. To that end, he works closely with the Firm’s Management Committee to develop and implement strategies that meet the security policies required by our most sophisticated clients.
In addition to developing and implementing strategic plans related to information systems, Mike’s areas of responsibilities include overseeing infrastructure, applications, technical support, technical education, project management, engineering, telecommunications, business systems and eDiscovery. He also works to maintain a highly reliable disaster recovery plan, redundant systems and structured controls for all systems.
Through leadership and attention to detail, Mike has developed a team of IT professionals who are committed to operational excellence, customer satisfaction and client delivery. Together, they support the technology needs of more than 200 employees across the Firm’s three offices.
Mike brings nearly 30 years of IT experience in the legal industry. Prior to joining Munsch Hardt, he spent a number of years managing IT efforts across regional, national and international law firms.
