Munsch Hardt Welcomes Recognized Bankruptcy Litigator, Marc Taubenfeld, as Bankruptcy, Restructuring + Insolvency Shareholder

(DALLAS) Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, P.C. (Munsch Hardt) is pleased to announce Marc Taubenfeld has joined the Firm as a Shareholder in its Bankruptcy, Restructuring + Insolvency section. Taubenfeld joins Munsch Hardt’s Dallas office from McGuire, Craddock & Strother.

Taubenfeld has extensive experience representing both debtors and creditors in business bankruptcy matters as well as creditors and creditor groups in consumer cases. Taubenfeld also has wide-scale knowledge representing both Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 Trustees, and Creditors’ Committees in a variety of bankruptcy cases. Such representations have included companies in manufacturing, transportation, retail, health and medical, oil and petroleum-related industries, and real estate development and operations.

His vast skill includes commercial litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in commercial transactions, sales and acquisitions of businesses, real estate and leasing transactions, as well as representation of lenders and borrowers in connection with loans, loan modifications and workouts. He has represented clients throughout state and federal courts.

His community and professional involvement includes several active roles with the State Bar of Texas, Federal Bar Association and Dallas Bar Association. Taubenfeld is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute. He currently serves as editor of the Federal Bar Association’s Bankruptcy Section newsletter. Additionally, Taubenfeld is a frequent author and speaker on bankruptcy-related topics.

In 2024, Taubenfeld was honored among Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Dealmakers in America. He has been named to the Best Lawyers in America listing in recognition of his legal excellence in Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights / Insolvency and Reorganization Law in both 2024 and 2025. Taubenfeld has also been named to Thomson Reuters’ Texas Super Lawyers list.

Taubenfeld earned his J.D. from University of Texas School of Law and his B.A. from Duke University.
