Overview

Sofia focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, real estate litigation and labor and employment. She represents individuals, small businesses and large corporations in state and federal courts and handles each case in a manner tailored to accomplish her clients’ unique needs and objectives. She also has experience representing employers in a variety of matters involving non-compete agreements, Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) claims, Title VII discrimination claims, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family and Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”) and Age Discrimination and Employment Act (“ADEA”).

Prior to joining Munsch Hardt, Sofia worked as a litigation associate at a national law firm in its Houston office. Sofia also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Nancy K. Johnson in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas while in law school.

    Assisted in defending numerous employers with respect to Charges of Discrimination filed by current or former employees. 

  • Employment Counsel

    Assists in developing, drafting and revising employee handbooks for local and national companies. 

  • Commercial Landlord-Tenant Litigation

    Represents several commercial landlords in breach of contract cases against commercial tenants and guarantors. The Munsch Hardt team has continued to obtain numerous favorable dispositive summary judgments
